When ULTEM™ 1010 is the right call
- When your requirement is maximum temperature capability in Fortus® production printing
- When you need stable, repeatable extrusion in elevated chamber conditions
- When you need PEI performance for demanding industrial / aerospace-style applications
ULTEM™ 1010 vs ULTEM™ 9085 (quick positioning)
- ULTEM™ 1010: highest-temperature PEI emphasis
- ULTEM™ 9085: broad adoption, toughness and production versatility
- Start with your temperature requirement and chamber constraints
Material control & packaging
High-temperature PEI performance depends on material condition. Each unit is sealed in a Mylar® moisture-barrier bag with molecular sieve desiccant to maintain low moisture prior to installation.
- Moisture-barrier packaging to support consistent extrusion behavior
- Molecular sieve desiccant (higher capacity than silica gel for high-performance polymers)
- Controlled extrusion parameters for repeatable canister-to-canister performance
Manufactured using controlled, traceable PEI feedstocks to support repeatable mechanical and thermal performance between production batches.
FAQ
Is ULTEM™ 1010 the highest-temperature Fortus® PEI option?
ULTEM™ 1010 is commonly selected when the priority is maximum temperature capability from a PEI-family material on Fortus® systems.
If you’re comparing options, start with the part’s temperature requirement and the real chamber environment.
What is this filament produced from?
This filament is produced from SABIC ULTEM™ 1010 resin (PEI / polyetherimide).
Which Stratasys® part numbers does it cross-reference?
For PN-based searches: 355-02330 (Plus) and 312-22000 (Classic).
Do I need an EEPROM?
It depends on the printer model and configuration. EEPROMs are sold separately and used where required for canister identification.
Where do I find Fortus® temperature guidance?
